Data Availability and Reproducibility Policy

Forbes Journal of Medicine, under the institutional framework of Buca Seyfi Demirsoy Training and Research Hospital, upholds scientific transparency, reproducibility, and open-access principles as core components of its publishing standards.

Data Reporting and Ethical Responsibility

• Authors must present research findings completely, accurately, and honestly.
• Data fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or the omission of significant results is strictly prohibited.
• Methods, experimental designs, analytical procedures, and materials used in the study must be described in sufficient detail to allow other researchers to replicate the work.
• All prior studies underlying the findings must be properly and comprehensively cited.

Data Archiving and Sharing

• Whenever possible, datasets used in the study should be deposited in publicly accessible, reliable data repositories, and the corresponding links must be provided within the manu.
• If legal, ethical, or institutional restrictions prevent data sharing, authors must clearly explain the reasons and specify the terms and conditions of access.
• Each article must include a Data Availability Statement describing the accessibility and conditions of use of the underlying data.

Supporting Materials for Reproducibility

• Authors are encouraged to share supplementary materials that enhance reproducibility, such as statistical analysis codes, scripts, detailed methodological appendices, and material lists, when appropriate.
• All shared data must comply with personal data protection regulations, ethical standards, and applicable legal requirements.

Editorial Requests for Data

• Editors and reviewers may request additional data or materials during the evaluation process to validate the study’s findings.
• Manuscripts that fail to provide adequate data transparency may be returned for revision or rejected with justification.

Forbes Journal of Medicine aims to strengthen reliability, accountability, and ethical integrity in scientific publishing through the principles outlined in this policy.
