Advertising Policy
Maintaining trust in academic publishing depends on ensuring that editorial processes remain entirely independent from commercial influence. Forbes Journal of Medicine upholds a strict separation between advertising activities and editorial decision-making, recognizing editorial independence as a core principle.
Editorial Independence and Scientific Neutrality
Advertisements published in the journal do not, under any circumstances, influence the peer-review process, editorial decisions, or acceptance/rejection outcomes. All editorial workflows are executed solely on the basis of scientific quality, ethical compliance, and internationally accepted academic standards.
Advertising Eligibility and Presentation
• All advertisements must comply with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye and with internationally recognized ethical standards in scholarly publishing.
• Advertisers must guarantee that their materials do not contain misleading, deceptive, inappropriate, or unethical content.
• To protect reader trust, all advertisements are presented in a manner clearly distinguishable from academic content.
• Sponsored content, promotional materials, and commercial banners are explicitly labeled and visually separated from editorial material.
Acceptance, Evaluation, and Transparency
The acceptance and placement of advertising materials are evaluated and approved by the advertising coordination unit authorized to manage commercial activities for Forbes Journal of Medicine. The journal reserves the right to reject or remove any advertisement that conflicts with its values, ethical principles, or scholarly publishing standards.
The journal adopts full transparency in all advertising relationships. Potential conflicts of interest are proactively managed to ensure that editorial integrity is never compromised. This approach not only ensures that commercial activities are conducted ethically but also safeguards the long-term reliability and credibility of scientific communication.
